چکیده

Abstract Nukhul Formation is one of the primary oil reservoirs in Gulf Suez Basin. Rabeh East an producer field located at southern border Suez. The present work deals with geophysical investigation using seismic lines and well log data four wells, namely RE-8, RE-22, RE-25 Nageh-1. interpreted profiles display that RE-8 Well only drilled within up-thrown side a significant horst fault block bounded by two normal faults. However, other wells penetrated downthrown side. qualitative interpretation logging for delineated intervals have good petrophysical parameters ability to store produce oil. These zones locate between depths 5411.5 5424 ft (zone I) 5451 5459.5 II). calculated zone I water saturation (22–44%), shale volume (10–23%), total porosity (18–23%), effective (12–20%) bulk (0.04–0.06). Zone II exhibits (13–45%), (10–30%), (18–24%), (11–20%) (0.03–0.05). This analysis reflects excellent characteristics sandstones producing if suitable structural closure.

simulation and experimental studies for prediction mineral scale formation in oil field during mixing of injection and formation water

abstract: mineral scaling in oil and gas production equipment is one of the most important problem that occurs while water injection and it has been recognized to be a major operational problem. the incompatibility between injected and formation waters may result in inorganic scale precipitation in the equipment and reservoir and then reduction of oil production rate and water injection rate. ...

Source Rock Evaluation and Maturity Levels of the Rudeis Formation, Northern Gulf of Suez, Egypt, Using Well Log Analysis and Rock-Eval Pyrolysis

Gamma-ray, density, sonic, resistivity and neutron are the commonly used wireline logs to identify and quantify source rocks. Several models were developed to use the conventional wireline logs for evaluating the thermal maturity of the source rocks and calculating the total organic carbon (TOC) content. Application of Schmockr and Hester [1] approach with some required modifications for the Ru...
